I run the same chipset and it is pretty much impossible to play any game with it, flash player is crashing like every 5 minutes and I cannot even test the frame rate from the the driver. And yes, it is pretty much impossible to install the windows 7 driver. Also I think this is just a sad thing to do for consumers willing to switch to the new Windows 8 and are just forced to stay on Windows 7 due to this. There has not been a descent update for the x3100 driver in years.
